Let the Pigeons decide

Adults spend an average of three hours a day making largely inconsequential lifestyle decisions. Parents of young kids spend even more time making these decisions on behalf of their families, which can be extremely fatiguing, and take energy from the more important choices they make throughout the day. Decision makers often stall these small decisions to avoid conflict or pass off the stressful responsibility of deciding for the group.

We all want more time, less conflict, and less stress. Decision Pigeons is a shockingly simple app starring a flock of endearing animated pigeons with the power to make all of your decisions.

My Role

Office banter brought the rough concept of a Decision Pigeons app to life. From there, brand designer Will Hays and I built the product’s visual identity and storyboard. I translated that work into wireframes, product architecture, and eventually the final UI design (starring animated illustrations by our frequent collaborator, Giedre Elliott). I lead spec documentation for the development of the UX, UI, animation, sound effects, and haptics. In addition to the app design, I supported Website, Social, and Merch design efforts.
